Terms & Conditions for Pop-Up Putts Mini Golf Hire
These Terms and Conditions apply to all mini golf hire bookings with Pop-Up Putts. By paying a deposit, the Client agrees to be legally bound by the following:
1. Definitions
1.1 “Client” refers to the individual, company, or organisation booking the equipment.
1.2 “Company” refers to Pop-Up Putts.
1.3 “Equipment” refers to all mini golf items provided, including course tiles, obstacles, putters, balls, signage, and accessories.
2. General Hire Terms
2.1 All Equipment remains the property of the Company at all times.
2.2 Payment of the deposit confirms the Client’s acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2.3 If the Company must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. illness, breakdown, severe weather), liability is limited to a full refund of all payments made. No further compensation is payable.
3. Payments
3.1 A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Your date is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
3.2 The remaining balance is due no later than:
45 days (6 weeks) before the event for:
Silver Package, Gold Package, Social Play Package, Morning/Afternoon Activity Package, and Event Day Package.
56 days (8 weeks) before the event for:
Platinum Package.
3.3 Late or Non-Payment
If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled and the date released for others to book.
If you are experiencing difficulties with payment, please contact us as soon as possible — we are happy to help where we can.
4. Equipment & Replacement Costs
4.1 The Company may substitute Equipment of equal type and value if required.
4.2 Sizes, styles, and colours may vary slightly.
4.3 Specifications may be updated without notice.
4.4 Any loss or damage to Equipment during the hire period will be chargeable to the Client.
Replacement Charges:
Item Cost
Putter £25.00 each
Golf Ball £1.00 each
Course Tiles, Obstacles, Artificial Grass Repair or replacement cost as assessed
5. Site Requirements & Setup
5.1 Equipment will be set up in one location only and cannot be moved once assembled.
5.2 The Client must ensure:
Safe and reasonable access for delivery
A flat, clear, safe setup space
5.3 If the setup area is unsuitable or access is unreasonable (e.g., long distances, stairs not previously disclosed), the Company reserves the right to refuse setup. No refund will be given in this case.
6. Supervision, Liability & Insurance
6.1 The Company’s Public Liability Insurance applies only when the course is supervised by a Company representative (Operator Hire).
6.2 For Self-Hire, the Client is responsible for supervising all players and ensuring safe use.
6.3 The Client is responsible for Equipment from delivery to collection, including weather damage or theft.
6.4 The Company accepts no liability for:
Injuries caused by misuse
Loss or damage to personal belongings
Any indirect or consequential loss
6.5 For Self-Hire events, the Client must ensure they hold appropriate event insurance if required by the venue.
7. Cancellation Policy (by the Client)
All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
If cancelled before the balance due date (45 days, or 56 days for Platinum bookings), only the deposit will be retained.
If cancelled within 6 weeks of the event (or within 8 weeks for Platinum bookings), 50% of the total hire cost will be payable.
If cancelled within 4 weeks of the event, 75% of the total hire cost will be payable.
If cancelled within 2 weeks of the event, 100% of the total hire cost will be payable.
If the balance payment is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled automatically and the deposit retained.
8. Cancellation by Pop-Up Putts
If we are unable to attend due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. vehicle breakdown, illness, severe weather, or safety concerns), we will either:
Offer an alternative date, or
Provide a full refund of all payments made.
No further compensation will be offered beyond refunding the hire fee.
9. Severe Weather
If a Met Office Red Weather Warning is issued for the event location on the event day, the Company will cancel the booking for safety and refund all payments made in full.
10. Acceptance
By making a booking and paying the deposit, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
